SAFETY & HEALTH OFFICER / SUPERVISOR 

Job Description
We are looking for a HSE officer/supervisor to work on a number of power utility projects in Sarawak.  The successful candidate will: 

• report to the Project Manager
• Implement safety policies and procedures at sites and ensure compliance.
• be accountable for the safety of the site works and control of activities generally on-site​​
• have a good knowledge of safety regulations and quality requirements of construction projects and ensure compliance with these regulations and requirements on-site
• be responsible for ensuring accurate recording of all information and that quality records including worker numbers onsite, accident incident reporting and quality traceability processes are maintained and reporting such information on a daily basis
• be able to give guidance to contractors regarding site coordination, logistics and planning 
• be able to maintain the construction programme and achieve quality of workmanship to meet the overall project objectives with excellence
• be able to work independently as well as being an integral part of the site management team as required.
• be able to spend most days on-site
• be provided with accommodation and transport, as well as site allowances in addition to salary  
• ​be under a probation period of 3 months

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Green Book registered with DOSH (JKKP)
  
• Having a degree qualification will be an advantage but is not mandatory

Experience

• Minimum 3 years’ of site experience, preferably in power utility sector ​

Special skills/Knowledge

• Fluent in English and Malay
• Working knowledge of Mandarin will be advantageous 
• Computer literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft office
