Western Digital (HGST SWK 25Mil NPP Expansion Project) appointed PPM as the Project Management Consultant (PMC) during the Construction phase. PPM to oversee and coordinate with the Piling Contractor, General Contractor, designer and other vendors to ensure the project delivered according to pre-defined specifications, scopes, quality standard within the timescale and budget.  Our roles include:
  • To coordinate and manage the project integration /interfacing with green/brown field.
  • To use Building Information Modelling (BIM) for project and design management.
  • To establish, execute, manage and monitor the project schedule, project cost, project scope management plan, quality control plan and procedure.
  • To coordinate and ensure all the local authority and mandatory permits has been submitted.
  • To propose the procedure for identifying potential risks & strategy to attend the risks before occurrence.
  • To establish document control management flow control system and change management policy and procedure.
  • To explore opportunities for value engineering for project cost optimization.
  • To establish and manage the project communication plan, update project stakeholders with the project’s latest progress status and project issues.
  • To confirm completion of project and ensure all deliverables items are compliant with project specification.
  • To evaluate and process claims from contractors and other vendors.
CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS AUDIT ON A PROCESSING PLANT

A power utility company commissioned Project & Programme Matters Sdn Bhd (PPM) to audit the construction of a major processing plant because they were concerned about its progress.  Our role was to monitor site progress through regular site visits and meetings with stakeholders, and compare the progress to the baseline schedule.  We also flagged any potential risks and proposed mitigation strategies. The client was updated through monthly reports and meetings.

Through the engagement of PPM, the Client was able to obtain an objective assessment by an impartial third party.
