Civil Engineer (Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia)

Job Description
We are looking for a Civil Engineer to work on a number of power utility projects in Sarawak.  The successful candidate will assist the Project Manager in ensuring that these projects meet safety and quality requirements and are delivered on time and within budget. S/he will: 

• Perform engineering task including tender document preparation and tender evaluation through knowledge of engineering requirements and client's specification.
• Assist project manager in ensuring that the projects are handled with the consideration of time, cost, safety and quality. 
• Monitor and coordinate the project activities including QAQC works and make sure the site work was fulfill contract’s requirements.
• Assisting in conducting project site meeting including keeping records, drawings, minutes of meeting etc. 
• Report to the Project Manager the site activities and prepare for the weekly report.
• Be responsible for project correspondences, documentation, comment sheets, etc.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years experience in related field.

Technical skills

• Good understanding of civil related works especially substation design and construction.
• Competent in using civil and structural software such as AutoCAD, Esteem Plus, Orion, Prokon, etc.
• Able to produce QAQC Manual for Civil & Structural, Architectural and M&E works such as method of statement, checklist, etc.
