City Transit Systems
Malaysia is, for the most part, a car-dependent society. However, it has made good progress over the last decade, including the commencement of the operation of its first Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Line in Kuala Lumpur in 2016. Kuching, where our headquarter is based, has launched its Kuching Urban Transportation System (KUTS) to ease congestion and improve connectivity within the Kuching City. At the heart of KUTS is the trackless, hydrogen-powered Autonomous Rapid Transit (ART). PPM is the project management partner of the joint venture who has been appointed as the Detailed Design Consultant (DDC) for the longest line (blue line) with 15 stops.
