Resident Engineer (Sarawak, Malaysia)

Job Description
We are looking for a Resident Engineer to work on a projects in Sarawak.  

• Candidate should have experience in road construction especially in handling peat excavation  removal and earthwork embankment experience in any government projects.
• Lead, supervise and work closely with the IOWs for the supervision of work on site.
• Supervise the execution of the construction works and ensure that the works are carried out by the Contractors in accordance with the specifications/schedule, approved method statements and solve any on-site problems.
• Assisting in conducting project site meeting and technical meetings including keeping records, drawings, minutes of meeting and meet up with statutory bodies as required.
• Report to the Project  Manager the site activities and prepare for the weekly report.
• Monitor and verify any variations to the works and the costs involved and advise the Project Manager for budgeting and cost control purposes.
• Coordinate and joint inspection with the contractors to carry out site inspection including material testing or laboratory testing.

Requirement:

• Qualification in Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering .

• Minimum 8 years working experience in related field with a minimum of 3 years and 4 years in design and site experience respectively.
• Those who have less experience and at least five (5) years of relevant working experience  can be considered as Assistant Resident Engineer.
