Inspector of Work for Civil & Structural (Sarawak, Malaysia)

Job Description
We are looking for a site supervisors to work on a number of power utility projects in Sarawak.  The successful candidates will: 

• report to the Project Manager
• coordinate and control all physical aspects of the day-to-day working on construction projects 
• be accountable for the progress of the site works and control of activities generally on-site
• have a good knowledge of safety regulations and quality requirements of construction projects and ensure compliance with these regulations and requirements on-site
• be responsible for ensuring accurate recording of all information and that quality records including worker numbers onsite, accident incident reporting and quality traceability processes are maintained and reporting such information on a daily basis
• be able to give guidance to contractors regarding site coordination, logistics and planning 
• be able to maintain the construction programme and achieve quality of workmanship to meet the overall project objectives with excellence
• be able to work independently as well as being an integral part of the site management team as required.​

Qualifications

• Recognized Diploma in Civil Engineering 
• Minimum SPM qualification  ​

Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ of site experience, preferably in power utility sector 
• Preferably Inspector of Works (IoW) registered with BEM.

Special skills/Knowledge

• Fluent in English and Malay
• Working knowledge of Mandarin will be advantageous 
• Computer literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft office
