Frequently asked questions
What does PPM stand for?
It stands for Project and Programme Matters.
What’s the difference between project and programmes?
Project is a standalone product, e.g. a substation. A programme is made up of lots of projects, e.g. Samalaju Industrial Park, where the projects are aligned towards a common objective.
What does your company do?
We provide project management, project controls, management consultancy and drone services. We mostly operate in the utility and infrastructure sectors.
Who are your clients?
They are client organisations such as developers and utility companies, and contractors. Some of the more prominent ones are Sarawak Energy Berhad, Pekerjaan Piasau Konkerit (PPK) Sdn Bhd, Sarawak Cable Berhad, IKEA and Boustead.
We already have our own in-house team. Why do you need you?
We already have the architects / designers, why do we need you?
On larger projects, the core skillsets of designers should ideally be focussed on design, and not management of the project. Architects and engineers will not have the same grounding and outlook on project management as we do.
For architects and engineers in Malaysia, their basic services mandated by their respective Boards exclude project management, which is indeed a chargeable extra. In the past, when projects were less complex and where design fees have not been so competitive, the architects and engineers have been able to cope. However, when projects are now much larger and more complex, and the fees accrued by the architects and engineers reduce, less time and effort will be expended on those scopes of services that are not part of the basic services.
How much do you charge?
We have various charging models, dependent on the scope of services. We are exploring ways in order to share risk and reward with our clients.

We already have our own in-house team. Why do you need you?
- Our team has over 20 project managers, controllers and contract administrators who can be made available at short notice as and when needed
- Our team has the technical expertise as well as a broad range of experience in various locations and sectors
- Our project managers work in a multi-disciplinary environment, and are trained in the latest technologies such as 3D and BIM
- We have the proven track record of tangible commercial benefits to our clients, e.g. for the MYTown project, we proposed alternative design for the lift shaft which made significant savings; we also spearheaded valid claims for our clients in order that they could turnaround a potential loss making situation into a profitable one (e.g 500kV).
